Intro to Music Theory Summer Camp
OPEN TO ALL Prosper ISD middle and high school students (7th-9th Grade)! Students will explore the mechanics behind the music they love. Skills include note reading, key signatures, chord progressions, and basic composition. Let your creativity soar as you learn how to write songs using musical notation! This camp is perfect for students interested in songwriting, musical composition, or simply learning how to read and interpret music. Participants will extend their musical knowledge by creating their own music in a supportive, hands-on environment. Two learning tracks are offered: Discovery Track: for students with little or no note-reading experience Expansion Track: for students who already read music and want to deepen their skills.
